Does your work carry a warranty?
Yes, Carriage Glass & Co. has a 12 month warranty against leaks and defects.

How long does it take for the adhesive to dry before the windshield is safely secured to the car?
24 hours and we recommend never driving a car right after installing a new windshield.

What happens with my Registration & Inspection stickers?
All stickers are transferable as well as EZ Tag.

Why are my door windows rolled down an inch after replacing my windshield?
If the windows are rolled up the door closure pressure can disturb the urethane seal. This could cause either a wind noise and/or leak

What is a windshield repair?
A windshield repair is a process that utilizes modern technology to fill the damaged area on a windshield with special clear adhesive resin, that when hardened, holds the break together

What kind of damage can be repaired?
Stone damage or stone “chip” up to the size of a quarter can be repaired. Best results are obtained when the repair is done as soon as possible, preventing the area from becoming contaminated by moisture and/or road dirt.

Does the damaged area completely disappear after the repair?
The area visibility is improved, however the repair area is still optically visible. We notify the customer that the repair site is stabilized and prevents the break from continuing to spread.

What quality of glass do you use?
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) this means that the glass meets the original specifications for safety and quality as the glass that was installed at the factory. You should always use OEM glass to insure your safety. We never use After Market Glass due to its inconsistent quality and optical distortion

I don’t live or work close to your location do you have mobile service?
Yes and it’s free! For the Houston and surrounding areas.

Do you only replace windshields?
We replace all factory installed glass on most vehicles, this includes: door glass, back glass, quarter glass and vents.

Do you accept insurance claims?
Yes, We can direct bill your insurance company. You only pay your deductible.

I have “Full Coverage” on my vehicle and I want to use my insurance coverage how do I go about that?
Contact your insurance agent and request Carriage Glass & Company to perform your replacement. It is Texas Law that you have The Right To Choose the repair facility of your choice

If I use my insurance policy for glass replacement does that count against my policy as an incident?
No, Glass losses are covered under the comprehensive (other than collision) coverage part of your auto insurance policy, these types of claims, unlike collision claims, does not affect your premium rating.
